Monument Charles the Smuggler
This village near the French-Belgian border was the ideal work area for smugglers, called "blauwers". The monument of Charles the Smuggler, realized par Rik Ryon in 1980, honours this epic in which locals tried to ease their harsh daily life by means of this marginal activity.
