A mix of traditional games, brown pubs and Poperinge's hospitality" is only a brief description of what you experience during a day or a half-day folk sports tour. The formula has been around for more than 30 years but knows no wear and tear.

Around ten cafés and eateries are part of the different routes. The hosts offer traditional Flemish pub games in a welcoming setting. They greet players with a smile, offering tasty bites (like Flemish chops or pancakes) or typical drinks such as picon or local beer.
Perfect to strengthen family ties or team spirit, to celebrate a communion or birthday, or just to escape everyday stress for a while.
Tourism Poperinge offers two fixed routes full of fun, laughter, and local game experiences. Prefer to stop at just one folk café or go for a half-day experience? Then create your own route using the joyful locations listed in our brochure. Other options include travel by horse-drawn cart or with a private guide.

This route, which can be done by bike, car or bus (own transport), starts in the centre of Poperinge. Along the way, enjoy local treats and drinks, as well as charming rural villages and stunning views.

Baanbolling is not included in the route due to limited availability. If you would still like to include it, make sure to book in advance — we’ll try our best to add it to your itinerary. In that case, expect a supplement of €2 per adult. Baanbolling is NOT available on Mondays!
