'Natuur en Bos' manages 31.50 hectares of young forest and meadows between Poperinge and Vleteren. The largest contiguous area borders the 'Poperingevaart' near the 'Wippe'.

There, forest, meadows, hayfields and pools alternate. If you're lucky, you might spot a reed bunting, linnet, whitethroat, black-headed warbler, kestrel or even a rare short-eared owl. Small woodlands have also been planted in scattered locations, particularly at 'Eikhoek', 'Beukenhoek' and near 'Wijngotebeek'.

There are both hiking and bridle paths in Wippehoek. Small fords provide easy access to the 'Galgenbossen' and 'Sixtusbossen'. The play area is decorated with all kinds of play equipment.
