The pride of St Martin's Church in Haringe is undoubtedly the organ. The organ is one of the largest and still hosts summer organ concerts. Within a stone's throw of each other, there are two churches dedicated to Saint Martin in the Poperinge area, one in Haringe and one in Roesbrugge. Yet the history of both churches is far apart. The original church in Haringe is situated around the 11th-12th century, but burned down several times except for a few remains. In 1308, the church was rebuilt, but then had to undergo renovations and restorations, partly because of the Iconoclasm in the mid-sixteenth century.
