When you think of the Beer & Hops Festival, you naturally think of the half-litres in the marquee or the pancakes at the Hommelpap Festival. But how do you pay for all those tasty treats?
There are two payment options:
- You can pay by Bancontact directly at the bar or food stall.
- You can top up your Hoppekaart at one of the top-up chalets in the marquee or on the Grote Markt. You can only pay in cash at these chalets. You can then use this Hoppekaart to pay at the bar or food stall. You can top up the card afterwards at any chalet using cash or via the QR code on the card with your smartphone.
There is a one-off fee of €1 to use the Hoppekaart. If there is still money left on your card after the weekend, you can easily request a refund via the QR code on the card.
