This colourful spectacle tells the story of hops in all their facets. More than 1,300 participants bring to life the story of hops around the world, the history of the pickers and the process of manual harvesting. You’ll see plenty of marching bands in action.
The route is different this year, to ensure the parade runs as smoothly as possible. Grandstands are set up on the Grote Markt, at the station and at St John’s Church. The procession starts at B. Bertenplein and proceeds via the Vroonhof along Ieperstraat, Sint-Jorisstraat, Bruggestraat, G. Gezellestraat, Grote Markt, Gasthuisstraat to Casselstraat, ending at the Keer van de Ommegang.
There are still seats available in the grandstands.
