Free Parking

Several ample free parking lots are available within a limited walking distance from the city center.

• Guest House Square.
• Oudstrijdersplein.
• Parking CC Ghybe.
• Parking JOC De Kouter.
• Parking Maeke-Blyde.
• Parking station.
• Parking swimming pool.

Motorhomes

During the day, motorhomes can park for free and with ease at the sports zone car parks (Ouderdomseweg or Reningelsteweg).
Overnight parking on public roads is not allowed. Overnight stays must be in a designated campsite.

Bus parking

• Oudstrijdersplein: 2 parking spaces

  • Parking disc spaces required between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m., excluding Sundays and holidays. Maximum parking time of two hours.
• Hondstraat: 1 parking space
  • Paid from 9 a.m. to noon and from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., excluding Sundays and holidays. Rate of €0.6 per hour, first half hour of which is free. Maximum parking time of 3 hours.

Blue zone

In the blue zone, the use of a parking disc is mandatory from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., except on Sundays and holidays. There is a maximum parking time of 2 hours between these hours.

Paid zone

In the paying zone, parking tickets are required from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., except on Sundays and holidays. There is a maximum parking time of 3 hours between these hours. The rate for paid parking is 0.60 euros per hour and the first half-hour is always free. You can pay with coins or via 4411 (see also the instructions at the bottom of this page).
