Reningelst forms the transition from Poperinge Hoppeland to Heuvelland. This signposted 10-kilometre walk starts at the Sint-Vedastus church in the village centre. From Reningelst, the "Lindegoed walk" introduces you to an open landscape full of wide stream valleys with fertile fields, hopfields and meadows. Walking and watching it does get close to three hours. There are only slight inclines. The trail is mostly on asphalt roads. Some short stretches of gravel road and grass path are less suitable for prams and wheelchairs.
